Camping / Touring Pitches
Plug in your motorhome, camper van, touring caravan or tent to one of our 25 hook ups and use this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as a base for exploring St Ives and West Cornwall.
Andrew and Mel take great pride in their small, family run site so will do their best to give you a warm welcome and help you enjoy your stay. Hellesveor is only a small campsite – 30 pitches and no clubhouse or entertainment. Although only a mile from St Ives town centre and it’s beaches/harbour front, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of West Cornwall’s beautiful countryside. We also bake fresh croissants and pain au chocolat every morning for those lazy holiday breakfasts.
We like to have all arrivals here by 6pm please, mainly so that we can switch off and feed the offspring at the end of the day! Please just let us know if you’re likely to arrive later than this so that we can make arrangements (no arrivals after 8pm though, out of courtesy to other guests).
We have made some changes to our pitches recently so that most of the main electric pitches are now hard standing (we’ve done this in an attempt to keep the pitches more weather proof and prevent worn out/mud patches, so that they’re as lovely at the end of the season as they are at the start). These are still suitable for tents and awnings but please read the advice in the green box below.
Some pitches have electric hook up only, some are fully serviced (electric, water and grey drainage), so please specify when booking if you have a preference.
TOILETS & SHOWERS
At the end of a hard day on the beach, you’ll be able to ‘de-sand’ in our purpose built shower block, including a large family shower room, washing up and laundry facilities, as well as an outdoor shower for washing off wetsuits etc. During busy periods, we have 2 additional toilet cubicles and 2 additional shower cubicles, all created to the same high standard to help make camping that little bit more luxurious!
Just to make you aware before you arrive, our toilet/shower facilities are unisex – all behind lockable cubicle doors but males and females share the same facilities. The newer cubicles do offer more privacy as they’re separate from the main shower block.
