Hopefully this is a good sign for all our campers this summer…we seem to have had endless blue skies for the last few weeks in St Ives. Long may it continue (although our grass would like a spot of rain…maybe just at night time)!
You could be fooled into thinking it was summer here today!
Wishing a healthy and happy new year to all of our past and future guests. We look forward to seeing those of you who need a ‘St Ives fix’ in 2017!
As the summer of 2016 draws to a close, we thought we’d share our favourite beach photo of the year (this is our 3 year old in his element at Porthkidney). Not long until the summer of 2017!
A stunning start to the Surf Life Saving season – feeling very lucky that our children go to sports clubs in such a beautiful part of the world.
Beautiful day at Porthminster Beach yesterday – just in time for the St Ives Food Festival this weekend.
It’s been such a lovely Easter, receiving so much chocolate from our lovely guests (this wasn’t all of it, lots has been eaten already). Ok, so it might just be because we have cute children, but whatever the reason it’s convinced us we’re doing the right thing running a campsite and getting to meet lots of wonderful people.
Enjoying the beautiful surroundings – can’t wait to offer Sunset Cottage for holiday letting, we’re nearly there! Please check the accommodation section for updates.
This week has seen an influx of spring campers and very welcome blue skies. It feels exciting to be heading into our second season here at Hellesveor. At least this year we won’t still be building the shower block as our summer campers arrive, much less stressful! Just the small matter of our farmhouse to renovate – Andrew’s on the case so I’m sure he’ll have it finished in a few weeks…ish!
Sorry for all the wet weather our new year campers experienced this year – just to show that we do have lovely weather even in winter – I took this photo today from the South West Coast Path approximately 1 mile from our campsite.
This is worth a read for a giggle. When I spent some time in the States, we spent many an evening with Americans making fun of each other’s quirks – such similar cultures, yet so different!
